Dinner money system

Secondary students

As of Monday 9th May, the main office will not be able to accept dinner money, or issue free dinner tickets under any circumstances.

All pupils must use the two top up machines in Wellington Street, which will accept coins and notes all day, every day.  Coins are better, but if using notes, please ensure they are neat and unfolded.  To avoid the queuing, it is best to top up before school starts or at the end of the day.

Could you please ensure your child has adequate funds in their account for lunch every day.  If, on the rare occasion, your child forgets their dinner money, they will be able to have a lunch for one day only.  They will not need to go to the office, as their account will be charged the cost of their lunch up to a maximum of minus £2.05.  They must pay this money back by topping up their account as soon as possible.

This new system will ensure no pupil goes without lunch on the odd occasion they forget their dinner money, provided they top up before purchasing another lunch.

Pupils that receive free school meals will remain unaffected.

Primary pupils

All infant pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 have been offered free school meals through the Universal Infant Free School Meals policy. We will also provide a snack each day through the School Fruit and Vegetable Scheme, along with a drink of milk for children in Reception. For pupils in Year 3 upwards, the cost of a meal is £2.05. Parents must pay for school meals via ParentPay.
