Enrichment

Our enrichment activities provide valuable learning experiences, helping students to develop their interests and abilities whilst promoting independence and interpersonal skills.

Throughout the year, students are encouraged to participate in a range of activities, from archery, climbing and trampolining to sign language, baking and music. Fundraising campaigns are always very popular with students, who have raised many thousands of pounds for a number of charities by various means, including mountain climbing, carwashing and cake sales.

Our sports teams are extremely popular and we have been awarded the Silver School Games Mark in recognition of our commitment to the development and delivery of competitive school sport. We provide year-round opportunities for all students, whatever their abilities, to get involved in the planning and delivery of sports activities, working with sports coaches, local sports clubs and other schools. The students enjoy weekly extracurricular clubs and inter-school competitions in a wide range of sports, including: cricket, rounders, badminton, football, basketball, boxing, dodgeball, boccia, netball and rugby.

Students can also enjoy a range of leadership opportunities, which enable them to develop skills such as problem solving, teamworking, influencing and personal organisation. Secondary students may apply for several roles:
