The Trustees of The Halifax Academy have published the draft Admissions arrangements for September 2019.

This consultation period will last for 6 weeks and close on the 28th January 2018. Following consideration of comments the Admission Arrangements for September 2019 will be determined by the 28th February 2018 in accordance with the Admissions Code 2014.

Admissions process

All admissions to The Halifax Academy are currently managed by Calderdale Council. Please follow this link for further information: Calderdale Council Schools Admissions

Years 7-11

For admissions from primary school into The Halifax Academy, parents and guardians must follow the Calderdale Council admission process. Further information on the admission process can be found on the Calderdale Council website: Admissions

Parents and guardians who wish to transfer their child into The Halifax Academy ‘in year’, must complete the ‘in year’ application form which can be found on the Calderdale Council website: In-year transfers. Calderdale Council will write to confirm the outcome of the application.
