Support Vacancies - Tuesday 10th October 2017

Required as soon as possible, The Halifax Academy has the following Support Vacancies:

Educational Communicator
(31 hours per week Term Time only)

Male Support Assistant – Secondary
(28 hours per week Term Time only)

Support Assistant x3 – Primary
(1 x 28 hours per week & 2 x 27 hours per week Term Time only)

The successful candidates will have knowledge and experience of supporting students with educational and complex needs. Experience of supporting the class teacher in the development and implementation of various strategies to facilitate learning in line with the students’ needs and abilities.

The successful candidate’s will have an understanding of how students learn and make progress along with being excellent role models, good communicators and dedicated to raising the achievement of our students.

Being the founding member of the Impact Multi Academy Trust and the only 4-16 all-through school in Calderdale, we can offer excellent development opportunities for all of our staff. We currently have 1127 students learning within the academy, and this will grow to 1420 by 2020 when our primary phase is full.

Lead Science Technician - Thursday 5th October 2017

Scale 4 – 37 hours per week, Term time + 5 additional days
Actual Salary Range: £15,482 - £17,254 per annum
Required to start as soon as possible, The Halifax Academy is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed individual to lead on the provision of a first class resourcing service to support our busy Science faculty.
The successful candidate will also be a great team player, good communicator and dedicated to raising the achievement of our students.

We are a team of driven, enthusiastic and friendly staff, who contribute greatly to the success of the academy and its pupils. The Halifax Academy is a popular and over-subscribed community school which has outstanding facilities.
